Nananana, hey hey hey goodbye

So I know I said this blog would just be about entertainment and what not but I absolutely hate my old blog that was more personal so I'll be posting personal blogs on here until I make a new blogspot.

There's only two days until I leave Baltimore for good (well for about 3 months anyway) lol. I'm soooooo excited for college but I have to admit I am nervous as well. Just being in a totally new environment and with complete strangers is going to be a challenge for me. I'm a shy person by nature esp When I 1st meet people and esp when I first meet guys that I find physically attractive. I just like to figure people out before I can be comfortable around them. But in college its not like your the new kid in school. All the freshmen are the new kids in school and don't really know each other so we'll all be in the same boat. It is going to be sad like when my family leaves and knowing that there 4 hours away and I can't just leave and go see them whenever I want. But I know its going to be the best times of my life in college so I'm ready.

An original by yours truly

My future is so bright. But it's been covered by these clouds for so long. Time has come for the rain to stop. I can already feel the suns rays beaming down on me. Only a matter of time now before it can finally shine in its entirety.

Fair weather friends

What is your definition of a friend? What is your criteria for a true friend? Is it loyalty? Is it to be trustworthy, for the friend to be HONEST? Is it support or for your friend to have your back in times of need? Is it someone to hang out and have a good time with? That is my definition. But apparently some of my friends must have different definitions for the word "Friend". We seem to contradict on that subject.

All I have to say is some of my "friends" have not been meeting my criteria of a friend lately. It makes me wonder what really is their criteria for a friend. They must have a different one b/c they act as a friend toward people as they would want a friend to act towards them right? Wrong. If some of my "friends" had the same or similar criteria for a friend as I do then they sure as hell have not been doing there part. So since I felt that they were not meeting my criteria I stopped following the criteria for them.

Now to relate back to the title of this blog these "friends" that I'm talking about are what I like to call Fair weather friends. They meet the criteria of a friend in their convience or when its beneficial for them. For example, if I'm at a party or event and we both end up being there, then they'll be a friend just b/c I'm there. Or they'll be a friend when their in need of some attention. OR they were just a friend b/c it was during school and we happened to hang out w/ similar people or usually were in the same places at the same time. So lame right? yeah I know. I need new friends and college is definately where I will find them. No more fair weather friends for me lol.

Seriously have you ever had a friend that you constantly were confused about the status of your friendship. Well I have a couple of those friends and let me tell you its exhausting. So I just gave up. IDC anymore. I have bigger and better things to worry about in life than this. Yes I care about you or used to. Yes we've had some wonderful memories together that I will remember for the rest of my life, but the end of this guessing friendship stats and stuff starts now. It does sadden me that I will eventually lose contact w/ most of the people I used to know and I will prob never talk to them again. But it also delights and excites me that I will gain BETTER friends in the future. I feel that I deserve it b/c I've had so many fair weather friends in my life. Now I will be doing my absolute best to keep in touch with a select few of the friends that I have now b/c they have maintained my criteria of a friend or have fallen off the criteria in the past and then regrouped themselves.

Well my rant is done. Thats all I had to say.

Peace :)

"I just heard some real bad news" -Kanye West (Coldest Winter)

Two days ago I found out my dear Aunt Francis lost her life in her battle against cancer. Its definately I hard thing to grasp. She was my grandmother's (my mom's mom) sister and they lived together ever since my grandfather passed away which was about 14 yrs ago. Everytime we would visit my nana (my grandmother) she would be there at times b/c she lived there lol. So that made me closer to her than my other great aunts and uncles. But my whole entire family is close. She was just at my house for prom and everything. Well She was a beautiful women and just one of the sweetest women I've ever known and our fam is at peace b/c she is at peace. Even though we will miss her dearly here on earth we know that she is in a better place.

May you continue to soar.

R.I.P. Aunt Francis. <3 you always

MJ survey

Ok so I'll be posting more blogs on here I've just been real lazy lately w/ blogger. But I wanted to post this MJ survey I found online and what my answers were real quick.

Enjoy.

Feel free to comment on the survey and/or copy it and post your answers.

R.I.P. Michael Jackson 1958-2009

First and foremost, have you actually heard his music?:
Yes of course I heard his music. Who hasn't?

What's your favorite song of his?:
I have so many but if I had to choose one it would be either Beat it, Human Nature, or Heartbreak hotel.

Favorite album?:
Definately the Thriller Album. I play that one all the time.

How did you find out that he died?:
I was home getting my party pics disc from my Aunts husband then my mom called me and told me the news.

What was your first thought when you heard?:
That it couldn't be true. I couldn't believe it. It was just too much. I . I was so overwhelmed.

Are you sad?:
Of course. He was my biggest inspiration, my hero.

Have you cried about it at all?:
I cried once the 1st day I heard the news after I was able to grasp what had happened and then I cried during the memorial service. It was like that was when it was real that he was gone. Seeing his casket (sp) and everything.

Are you a big fan of his music or just a casual fan...:
A huge fan. Ever since I was 5 yrs old.

Or do you not even like it that much?:

Were you going to go to one of the concerts he was planning?:
Only if he was going to come to the U.S. then yeah I def would have went.

Do you think he was guilty of the child molestation charges?:
No I do not think he was guilty. I always knew in my heart that he was innocent and those kids confessing that he didn't molest them proves it.

Do you think the reason he was so strange was because he never really had a childhood?:
He didn't have the normal childhood. He was in the spotlight since he was 5. So we can't blame him for being the way he is. Yes he was a little different But I don't think him being a "big kid" was strange at all. He was a nice person and a good man. I think he was just more misunderstood b/c the world just wasn't able to understand his personal life decisions and behaviors. Truthfully who are we to judge anyone. And everyone just needed to stay out of his personal life and buisness.

Did you ever make jokes about him?:
Well I never made jokes about him but I did laugh at a lot of jokes about him. Like when Kanye would say stuff in his songs and other people might say stuff. But it was all in fun. We all love MJ.

Do you feel bad now, or does the fact that he died not change your opinion?:
Truthfully no. I don't think he took them to heart. Well I hope not. Most of the people who made jokes about him were the ones that worshiped him. It was all in fun. Everyone gets made fun of no matter who you are. Its just up to you how you handle them. Now I do admit that a few of the jokes I've heard were harsh and not acceptable but I take those as insults more than jokes.

Do you think it was just a heart attack or are you suspicious?:
U mean cardiac arrest, lol. Well I don't know why anyone would want to kill MJ on purpose. He was a good person and it just doesn't make sense to want to kill him truthfully. I see no benefit in that for anyone.

Do you think the stress of being famous was what killed him?:
I think the extreme fame that he had and all the scrutiny he was getting did ultimately lead to his addiction, which eventually lead to his cardiac arrest so yes i guess.

Are you going to watch his funeral?:

Or if you're taking this after July 7, did you watch it?:
Yep

What's your favorite video?:
I have so many favs but I'm just gonna list 2 of them. They don't care about us, Billie Jean

Can you do the Thriller dance?:
lol yeah most of it anyway

How about the moonwalk?:
My moonwalk is embarrassing lol.

Was the one-glove thing cool or weird?:
Cool! I loved the glove.

Were you around when he was in the Jackson 5?:
Definately not. That is way back in the day. My parents were little kids lol

When Thriller came out?:
haha naw. I'm 18 I wasn't even born till 1991.

Give your opinion of the following songs:

Bad: It was a cool song. I didn't listen to it that much though. Loved the vid though. Esp the dancing.

Beat It: One of my all time fav songs! Not just of his but of all the songs I know.

Billie Jean: One of his all time best. He blew everyone away w/ this song and video.

Black or White: Man when I was little this was my song! lol I would just be in the living room having my own little party to this lol.

Dirty Diana: Truthfully I haven't heard this song much but the video is amazing.

Don't Stop Till You Get Enough: This is def the party song. You just get to groovin to this lol.

Man in the Mirror: Powerful, inspirational, beautiful

P.Y.T. (Pretty Young Thing): I want to love you, P.Y.T! Good song.

Say, Say, Say (with Paul McCartney): lol I never heard this song in my life.

Scream (with Janet Jackson): Love that song. Its great to listen to when you just want to let loose and release your anger and frustrations.

Smooth Criminal: Annie are you ok? This song is soo....... smooth! lol I love the dancing in this video. Love love this song.

Thriller: So creative. Another MJ classic. I was so scared of this video when I was younger though lol. I still can't listen to this song when I'm alone at night lmao!!!

We Are the World (with many others): Another inspiring song.

But when I saw this video I had to post it on here. I think the video is so cute and I absolutely love the ending. I know almost every girl can relate to this story of wanting a boy who was with another girl or wanted another girl other than you and you wish he would know how much you two belong together.
